Providence, RI – On Monday, May 12, the Dental Department at the Rhode Island Free Clinic was presented with a donation of $1,000 at the Dental Hygiene Pinning Ceremony. The Student Dental Hygienists’ Association presented the gift in recognition of Pedro Madera, RDH, PHDH, for his dedication to the Dental Hygiene Externship Program. Each year, 2nd year Dental Hygiene students rotate through the clinic for an 8- week period.
During this time, under Pedro Madera’s, RDH, PHDH, expert mentorship, 144 patients received high-quality dental care. The students benefitted greatly from his clinical guidance and expertise in both Radiology and Dental Hygiene practice.
