Providence, RI – Rhode Island Free Clinic has expanded its optometry services by introducing the Eyenuk EyeArt® diabetic retinopathy screening system, an advanced retinal imaging technology that helps detect diabetes-related eye disease earlier and more efficiently.
Diabetic retinopathy is one of the leading causes of vision loss among adults with diabetes. Early detection is critical, as many patients experience no symptoms until the disease has progressed. By incorporating the EyeArt AI screening system into the Clinic’s optometry services, patients can receive fast, non-invasive retinal screenings during their appointments, allowing for earlier diagnosis and timely referrals for treatment when needed.
