A wide range of high quality services to meet the needs of our patients.

The principal mission of the Rhode Island Free Clinic (RIFC) is to connect our patients with primary care physicians and providers, but we do so much more. As many of our patients seek help with chronic conditions, the RIFC provides specialty care clinics and services for diabetes, depression, hypertension, cholesterol, back pain and obesity, scheduled weekly or monthly. In addition, we offer programs to help our patients maintain healthy and productive living patterns. Some of these are regular and recurring, others are occasional.

Through partnerships with local organizations, the RIFC will identify and respond to local needs with additional programs and services.

As a Regional Medical Director for United Healthcare, Dr. Curtis Mock is in his second year as a volunteer physician at RIFC. After learning about the Free Clinic when his daughter began volunteering, Dr. Mock started devoting time to provide medical services to RIFC patients. "The most important thing about being here," he asserts, "is the opportunity to provide quality care to those who otherwise wouldn't have access to care." His advice to young adults and aspiring doctors is to come and volunteer. Take the opportunity to make a difference in the community!

Dr. Mock is one of over 300 medical professionals who have donated countless hours and have shared their expertise with the Clinic. Their compassion and commitment have allowed RIFC to provide over 1,200 patients with both primary care and specialist services. We are all very grateful for their generous efforts.
