Staff
While volunteers perform the majority of the work at Rhode Island Free Clinic, we have three full-time paid staff members whose salaries are funded by charitable donations and three VISTA volunteers. Our staff members wear many hats and have many different responsibilities, they:

  • Manage patient care and ensure that patient needs are met.
  • Oversee databases that track patient care and volunteer activities.
  • Develop and manage new programs.
  • Recruit new volunteers.
  • Manage prescription services.
  • Fundraise and report to donors on how their money is being used.
  • Collaborate with Rhode Island's academic institutions and community organizations.
In short, our small staff does all that it takes to enable the clinic to not only run smoothly, but also to be prepared for the increasing demand for services. They also advocate on behalf of the uninsured, raising awareness at the neighborhood, community, and national levels.
